The New Big Bad Audi A8 by Anderson Germany

Transforming the A8 into an S8 sans V-10.

The third-generation D3 Audi A8 was an executive sedan that brought strong competition to the likes of the stalwart S-Class and 7 Series. Audi’s beautiful interior design, driving dynamics, and modern technology made it rise to the top of the market. Audi also offered a version of the sedan with a 5.2-liter V-10 engine for those seeking better performance.

 

The D3 Audi A8 has since been replaced by the current-generation D4 Audi A8, but that doesn’t mean the previous-generation is lost in the past. Anderson Germany has unveiled the Venom Edition S8, which transforms the V-8 FSI-powered A8 into a unique car that rivals the S8’s performance.

One of the most appealing qualities of the Audi A8 was its modest and classy design. The Anderson Germany AudiS8 Venom Edition strays away from that mindset with a unique and sinister appearance. The entire body was given a coat of opaque grey satin paint with contrasting gloss black grilles, logos, and door handles. Even the windows and exterior lighting were given a dark black tint to match the overall theme.

 

Along with the darker attitude, Anderson Germany also gave the Audi S8 Venom Edition a new body kit that includes a new front fascia, side skirts, front fender air intakes, a rear apron, and LED lighting. The exterior highlights were then finished off with a set of gloss black five-spoke, 22-inch wheels with 265 tires, a lowered suspension, and gloss black brake calipers.

 

Instead of the 5.2-liter V-10 engine based off of the Gallardo’s 5.0-liter engine, the Audi S8 Venom Edition is powered by a tuned 4.2-liter FSI V-8 engine that came standard in the A8 models. Anderson Germany installed an adjustable stainless steel exhaust system with three sound levels to reduce backpressure. The new exhaust saves just under 40 lbs. in weight and boosts power by 16 horses. The engine also received a software tune and sports air filters, pushing output to 442 horsepower compared to the stock 350 horsepower.

 

Inside of the Anderson Germany Audi S8 Venom Edition is a sporty and comfortable cabin. Almost all of the original trim has been replaced carbon fiber for a sportier look. In order to match the exterior, Anderson Germany fitted grey leather and light grey alcantara. A new sound system with headrest monitors, speakers, amplifier, and subwoofer was installed along with a Playstation 3 for entertainment.

 

The Anderson Germany Audi S8 Venom Edition is currently available from the German tuner. Pricing for the entire car and individual accessories has not been released.
