According to German automobile magazine Auto Bild the Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG will soon get the new twin-turbo 5.5-liter V8 with an available performance package that boosts the total horsepower to 549. Output will be 518 horsepower sans the package, which is the same number as the outgoing 6.2-liter engine.
