Well for this review I decided to review another R1 car that Ive recently got and has given me a thrill the LMP Cadillac. The Cadillac Northstar LMP was a series of Le Mans Prototypes built by General Motors’ Cadillac brand for use in the American Le Mans Series as well as an attempt to return Cadillac to the 24 Hours of Le Mans since they first entered in 1950. Similar to the Bentley Spd8 I did a review on a while back the Cadillac is quite a forgotten car mainlly because of the sheer price of most R1 cars.

Now onto the tune similar to the Bentley the Cadillac hasn’t got as high of a handling stat compared to to something like the Audi R15 but despite this the Cadillac still handles very well in its class enough to scare a Peugeot 908 and despite its speed looking average, the Cadillac will go in and out of turns like a jet. When I compare the handling of the Caddy to other R1 cars the handling isn’t as oversteery but instead the car is a lot more glued to the road and more controllable in my opinion. As with many R Class cars TCS will get the best out of it due to insane snap oversteer at low speeds. The Caddy is at its best on medium tracks as it doesn’t quite have the speed to be dominant on longer tacks like Nurburgring. The Northstar V8 engine gives out 814 horses and will accelerate from 0-60mph in 2,9 seconds and has a top speed of 209 mph

list of some laptimes

Iberian full reverse: #253 – 00:39:504

New york reverse – #134 – 00:49.811

Sedona Club – #335 – 00:52.611

Camino full reverse – #370- – 00:50.049

Sunset Full Reverse – #432 – 01:11.390

As said above the Caddy isnt cheap and TCS is recommend but other than that I cant really think of many problems with this great car other than the stock paint for the Cadillac which I don’t like to much.

Overall If your on the hunt for a new R1 car I would definitely suggest giving the Cadillac a chance
