Well for this review I was requested to hunt down a RWD C class Tune for yet another pricey car the Mercedes 300 SL GullWing Coupe. The SL made its debut in the 50s where it was one of the fastest production cars of its day. The SL is quite famous for its Unique Gullwing doors and is one of the most collectible Mercedes of all time. The original 300 SL scored overall wins at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, in Bern-Bremgarten, in the sportscar race of the Eifelrennen at the Nürburgring, and in Mexico’s Carrera Panamericana. It also managed second and fourth places at its first outing, the Mille Miglia in 1952.

Now enough of me ranting on about the car in real life and now onto the SL in Forza. Well in Forza RWD to my dislike are rare and are normally converted to the stupid 4WD which as usual gets access to insane speed and decent handling. Thankfully there were quite a few decent RWD C class tunes and after a few tunes picked this one as it felt the easiest to drive. As you can tell this 300 SL is going for the all rounder route. On the track the 300 SL is a fun drive around the track. Its very smooth, shifts gears quickly and grippy around the bends. There is a slight but manageable oversteer at highspeeds. The SL is overall very easy to drive without assists even for less experienced drivers. The 300 SL is also non aero which is a plus Very Happy. The 6 cylinder engine powering the Gullwing produces 287 horses under the hood and will accelerate from 0-60mph in 6.2 seconds and has a top speed of 156mph . Because of its low power Ive found this car suitable on short-medium tracks such as Mazda Laguna Seca. This car is fun to drive around Fujimi Kaido and Rally di positano

Iberian Reverse – #576 – 00:56.009

New York Reverse – #284 – 00:56.637

Ladera Short – #718 – 00:53.252

Camino Extreme – #561 – 02:53.780 (but was uncertified because of the infamous chicane after numerous attempts)

Rally di positano – #229 – 06:22.645

Sedona Full Reverse – #691 – 02:29.492

There isn’t to many bad things to say about this car. It does lack power on the straights compared to lets say a Subaru and oversteer a little at high speeds and does cost a ton to get but other than that I think its a fine tune

Overall if you like classic,C class and RWD I would suggest giving this car a shot.
